Due to hurricane Irma, the cancellation of the FOMA conference, and the many people affected by the storm, we have decided to cancel the CME’s with Dr. Glen Cook this weekend. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we hope to reschedule some time in the future.

Our prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the storm.


Join us as we welcome Dr. Glen Cook, MD, Autonomic Disorders Specialist, LCDE, MC, USN, Department of Neurology, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth! Dr. Cook will be visiting from Portsmouth, Virginia this weekend to present on Autonomic Disorders: Clinical and Laboratory Evaluation on September 15, 2017 from 7:30am-8:30am. We will be attending the FOMA conference all weekend with a staffed booth in order to provide our book, along with other resources, to further our mission of educating physicians about Dysautonomia.

* This CME is designed specifically for the community-based practitioner, in any area of medicine, as an introduction to Dysautonomia.

* By the end of this CME you will:

* Understand the components of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)
* Recognize presenting symptoms of autonomic dysfunction
* Appreciate the cross-discipline nature of disorders of the ANS
* Appreciate that many medications affect the ANS
* Understand first-line clinical and laboratory tests to evaluate and confirm disorders of the ANS

A Rational Approach to Pharmacotherapy in Autonomic Disorders

9/16/2017 – Largo Medical Center * Salon A * 12:00-2:00pm

* This CME, offered as a part of a physician and patient education forum, is designed for the physician desiring a deeper neuroanatomical understanding of symptoms and treatments for the most common forms of Dysautonomia. This CME also includes a Q&A Panel Discussion.
* By the end of this CME you will:
* Review components of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)
* Understand manifestations of dysfunction of specific components of the ANS
* Understand specific medications that can be used to treat many of the manifestations of ANS dysfunction
