The Clinician Program is specifically designed for practicing clinicians in any specialty who want to learn more about autonomic medicine. There is a large gap between the number of providers who are trained to diagnose and treat autonomic dysfunction and the number of patients who are suffering and need care. Knowledge gained in this program will increase the number of primary and specialty care providers who can fill this gap.
This 8-hour medical training program is designed to instruct clinicians to:
- Properly identify autonomic dysfunction
- Administer clinical exams
- Interpret lab results
- Initiate first line therapies
- Refer to specialists as needed
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the Florida Medical Association and The Dysautonomia Project. The Florida Medical Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Florida Medical Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
